Best Reviewer of scientific journal

13 March 2012Organisation

Mirjam Blokker is named Best Reviewer by the Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management. Blokker is granted the prestigious title thanks to her review work for this scientific journal. “Probably because I read every article critically and come up with good suggestions for improvement,” she remarks.

Usually reviewers work anonymously so that their – indispensable – contribution is not visible to the public. But once a year the Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management publicises the list of those who have worked on its articles: around 200 reviewers. Some receive the mention of Outstanding Reviewer, and only one of them – Blokker in 2012 – is named Best Reviewer.

The Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management regularly publishes articles on issues related to drinking water distribution, such as distribution network configuration, pump and reservoir control, and modelling of water consumption and network water quality. Over the past years, Blokker reviewed eleven articles for the journal.
